IT Senior Developer/Analyst (Hybrid – Remote and On-site)

What you will do:
As our IT Senior Developer/Analyst, you will be accountable for effectively supporting the technology and systems used at the credit union.  This includes but is not limited to system development, automation, technical and administrative support, system integration support, system development, vendor management, documentation, process improvement, incident escalations, and change control.  The incumbent will work closely with IT and business lines to understand system requirements, help determine and develop appropriate solutions to support their needs, and troubleshoot incidents by providing technical and administrative support for in scope systems by:

•    Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining system scripts, reports, batch processes, to support operational and member service needs
•    Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Enterprise Automations using RPA and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
•    Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integrations between credit union systems and external systems with web services using both SOPA and REST APIs (including
      SymXchange)
•    Configuring and maintaining system parameters, jobs, queues, including setting up, modifying, and deleting access for employees  
•    Creating and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and training materials related to core processes and functionality.
•    Monitoring core system performance, job schedules, and system alerts. Recommending and implementing optimizations to improve reliability and processing time.
•    Collaborating with business units to gather requirements and design core-based solutions that support new products, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
•    Working with staff to coordinate the quality assurance phases of test planning, testing, defect resolution, and test tracking. Help ensure software meets or exceeds specified
      requirements. 
•    Maintaining technical architecture knowledge, including documentation and configuration data 
•    Troubleshooting program and system issues to restore normal functioning, including coordinating with other staff members and vendors as required. 
•    Assisting users in solving system problems and communicate updates and changes related to supported systems and technologies. 
•    Working with staff to coordinate the quality assurance phases of test planning, testing, defect resolution, and test tracking. Helping ensure software meets or exceeds specified
      requirements. 
•    Supporting and adhering to all IT Change Management processes. 
•    Vendor management 

To succeed in this role, you will have:
•    Knowledge of databases, basic ETL, SOAP/XML and RESTful API integrations, web services, and web apps.
•    Knowledge of enterprise automation using workload automation and/or RPA.
•    Knowledge of VM and server environments, computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.  
•    Knowledge of common client/server and web-based application architectures and standard integrations. 
•    Developer, team and innovation mindset to support\perform system integrations and updates
•    Excellent oral, written communication along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Basic application development/scripting ability (ex: SOAP/REST, Javascript/jQuery, Python,  PowerShell, Symitar PowerOn). 
•    Ability to lift and move computer equipment.  
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 
•    3-5 years of development experience working in the financial services industry, preferably with a Credit Union or Bank.  
•    Proficient in one or more of the following, Javascript/jQuery, Python, PowerShell, Symitar PowerOn. 
•    Willing to do local Travel (Greater Lehigh Valley, Berks County PA and Phillipsburg NJ). 
•    Valid Driver’s License 

Preference will be given to those who have:
•    5-7 years of development experience working in the financial services industry specifically with Jack Henry Symitar (Episys).  
•    Related professional certifications. 
•    Proficient in the following, Javascript/jQuery, Python, PowerShell, Symitar PowerOn
•    Proficient in one or more of the following automation tools Power Automate, UIPath, OpConWLA/RPA, ORBE
