Social Media Content Creator Intern

First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union is looking for a motivated intern with a passion for social media, storytelling, and digital content creation to join our marketing team. As our Social Media Content Creator Intern, you will produce engaging, authentic, and social-first content that promotes our credit union across digital platforms. What you will do:

You will support the credit union’s organic marketing strategy by creating short-form video, photography, and behind-the-scenes content designed for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging social media channels.

Work in collaboration with the marketing team, to capture everyday moments across the organization including member experiences, community engagement, team culture, and financial wellness initiatives, transforming them into engaging content that strengthens brand awareness and community connection.

Help the credit union participate more actively in modern digital and social media environments while showcasing the people, stories, and impact behind the First Commonwealth brand by:

·         Creating short-form social media content including video, photography, and visual storytelling designed for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging social media channels.

·         Capturing authentic content across credit union locations including financial centers, community events, team activities, and member stories.

·         Producing social-first video content optimized for vertical viewing and mobile consumption.

·         Editing and preparing content for publishing across social media platforms using modern content creation tools.

·         Collaborating with the marketing team to align content with campaign messaging and marketing priorities.

·         Working with internal stakeholders to capture stories highlighting member experiences, financial wellness initiatives, and community partnerships.

·         Identifying opportunities to capture engaging organic content that reflects the credit union’s culture, purpose, and community impact.

·         Participating in marketing campaigns by producing supporting social content and behind-the-scenes media.

·         Monitoring emerging social media trends and content formats to help the credit union remain relevant in digital channels.

·         Assisting in maintaining a consistent flow of organic content across social platforms.

·         Participating in marketing team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate content ideas and performing other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media production, journalism, digital media, or related field

·         Demonstrated experience creating social media or video content

·         Active familiarity with major social media platforms and how content performs across different channels

·         Understanding of short-form video trends and social media storytelling formats

·         Basic understanding of digital marketing and brand communication principles

·         Ability to create engaging short-form video and photo content

·         Ability to capture authentic, relatable moments that connect with audiences

·         Strong visual storytelling instincts

·         Ability to produce content designed for vertical and mobile-first viewing formats

·         Ability to edit video and prepare content for publishing across social media platforms

·         Knowledge of social media content creation tools and mobile production workflows

·         Creative mindset and curiosity about storytelling

·         Strong organizational, time management and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·         Portfolio or examples of social media or video content

Preference will be given to those who have: 

·         Experience producing short-form video or social media content for personal, academic, or organizational channels

·         Familiarity with video editing tools or mobile content creation platforms

·         Experience contributing to or managing social media accounts for organizations, student groups, or personal brands

·         Demonstrated experience creating engaging social media content with evidence of audience engagement or growth

·         Experience using content creation tools such as: CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud tools, Descript etc. and mobile video editing applications
